Dla And Cars

Can anyone on here settle family argument. If you can get a car in receipt of DLA is there a limit to price of car you can choose. Or can you choose top of the range. I know you have to give up all or some of benefit to receive a car.

It depends on what car you go for...some cars you pay nothing, and some you pay an Advanced Payment....this is Motability's website for browsing....

So you can choose a 'top of the range' car, if it is available on the scheme, but pay a much higher Advance Payment.

I'm sure yogi will put me right on this if I'm wrong, but I believe if you pay an advance payment, as in the case of £10,099 for a
MERCEDES-BENZ VITO TOURER L3 DIESEL RWD 116 CDI SELECT 8-SEATER 9G-TRONIC,
you don't get that money back?

You are spot on, as the Advance Payment is a one off payment, paid at the very start of the term, which is taken by the car salesman/woman at the brand dealership you have chosen.

Not me yogi no chance of me getting a car don’t get disability never mind a car. It only came up in discussion as neighbour got new car.
