Not sure, but you may ask why Kent were happy to take Maxine on and enjoy the successes , surely this accolade was always possible.

the rules provide for gender self-identification without any need to begin transition, or adhere to any testosterone limits as might be applied. thus if Maxine says "I am female" then Maxine is female and is eligible to play as a female, in a female team.

with Kent having set a new standard, any team that doesn't follow suit will be placed at a self-imposed disadvantage. the result will probably be one of more self-identified players. will it signal the end of "women's sport"? depends how far the process evolves, but it may reach the logical conclusion that cricket is played by humans, with no other distinction allowed under the rules.
It signals the end of common sense.
I have just entered myself for Crufts. If I am not recognised as a self identifying cocker spaniel who can I sue ?

It must follow that women's sport is doomed; we already have a man posing as a woman as a world champion;

Easy solution, have separate competitions for males, females and transgenders.
Please give us a link when you do, sparkly... would love to see it :-)
Even simpler would be to have competitions for normal people and competitions for abnormal people.
Open and women's would make more sense. Nobody is more "abnormal" than anyone else x
No pun intended .. but in ladies cricket the balls are lighter, the boundaries are closer. Therefore if you put a cross dressing bloke who happens to stand over six foot tall into this scenario, he is going to find the boundary with ease. More sixes, more boundaries and higher scores, wouldn't this be deemed as cheating, down to pure brute strength?
My thought is you only have the ladies to blame .. they should refuse to take part in the circus!

Some have tried... this is absolutely not new. I can't remember now, how many of women's world records are now held by men... and Google is exceptionally coy, when asked. But it is far more than advertised.
The woman who came second to Rachel McKinnon... did complain. She was intimidated and called "transphobic" and quickly apologised. Nobody is allowed to speak out against this, or they are bigoted and hateful. Never mind that men and women have physical differences, other than just testosterone.
