Too Soon?

I loved Dave with all my heart but after 15 months the loneliness is almost unbearable. I don't want to replace him but is it too soon to look for male (or female) company. I would probably try online dating , but carefully.

I am perfectly happy being single, and have no intention whatsoever in "meeting someone". It just shows that everyone is different, and you should do what suits you xx

Walking Clubs seem to be a good way to meet people. A friend of mine found a new partner in one and others have made new friendships.

Actually... dog-walking seems to be the easiest and friendliest way to accidentally meet people:-)

A friend of mine met a guy at her husband's funeral and went out on a date with him that same night. Such an approach obviously wouldn't be right for everyone but it certainly shows that the concept of 'too soon' is an entirely personal one.

You don't even need a dog! I often stop to chat to dog walkers (after telling them how lovely their canine friend is) while walking around our local lake.

It's a tough one - go with your heart babe. Maybe make some new friends and see if that could lead to anything?

have to look for local groups which have similar interests to you, hopefully there will be more than one person (male or female) who will become firm friends (maybe more)

Entirely your choice. Everyone's different. A friend of mine was dating again just 2 weeks after the spouses' funeral.
