What Is Your Favourit Cake?

Favourite cake (s) : Coffee and Walnut cake and Victoria Sponge made with seedless raspberry jam and fresh cream.

Least favourite: Black Forest Gateaux and Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting (yuk)

Six weeks into low carb diet and I'm dreaming of cakes and thick crusty bread slathered with butter.

Lemon drizzle without a shadow of a doubt. I have a friend who is a fabulous baker and she brought me a delish home made lemon drizzle cake (all for me) a couple of weeks ago and boy did I enjoy it !

Not keen on chocolate cake, too sickly for me.

Aunt Polly, it's a sponge cake with custard filling. Like that in Custard slices. The only place I know that sells them is Oldham Market. And you have to be quick!

I don't think I have a favourite. nothing with nuts or coconut which I loathe but apart from that anything really well made.

Love cake!!! The more it's covered in cream, ganache or goo the better!!!
But I hate ginger cake or parkin.

I used to bake, but I was the only one to eat them. Favourites were a very dark, rich chocolate cake, Maryland gingerbread, and carrot...no frosting. All were recipes from a 1959s booklet that had been my mum's.
Now, I too do low carb...have done for years. But I fall off the wagon due to the food hall excess and damaged items that are donated to us:(...that's when I stress eat. Luckily I've never tired of cheese.

no bread or cakes helps counter arthritis in all its forms...

chocolate for me, with a gooey centre and top icing. And Xmas cake that's moist, love the icing and marzipan too.
