I hate to break it to you 'Mr' McConnell, but men cannot give birth. They just can't. And no amount of legislation or reassignment surgery will EVER change that basic fact. What has, in fact happened, is a woman masquerading as a man has given birth. Women give birth and men do not, because they cannot.

Am I alone in thinking this is nuts?

Monty Python were truly prophetic in their sketch!

The nonsense begins here: //He was able to get pregnant but was legally a man when the child was born.// It was perpetuated when “his” brief said she was disappointed with the original ruling (when Sir Andrew MacFarlane ruled that people who give birth are mothers, regardless of their gender). it is a mental illness ? not meant in a derogatory way.
Where on earth do you get that from, Fender? Homosexuals do not hate the opposite gender.
ummmm, i never said hate, ok ill put it this way, prefer there own gender sexually..
In fairness, ummmm, Fender didn't say 'hate'.
Excuse me for briefly bringing this back... but I am really quite shocked at andres' comment that there is a programme called "Seahorse" about a "transperson"
Clearly... I am very sceptical myself about the way we are treating this, but I still can't believe the insensitivity of the title. It couldn't have been a worse choice if they had tried.
Seahorses are most famous, in that the males give birth- but are still male. They are the clearest and most obvious example that what sex you are, depends entirely on which gametes you are designed to produce, and nothing to do with behaving in a "female" way. The exact opposite of the transgender ideology.
Seriously, was it just sarcasm, or just the worst possible idea?
pixie----Just scrolling through and came upon your post about the programme called Seahorse. It was on BBC2 on October the 5th. It was all about Freddy and his journey to have a baby. I suppose he was in agreement as to the title. There are 12 days left for viewing on iplayer.
