They both played an absolute blinder ! I was gripped and literally cried throughout and yes it reminded me of my Mum's deathbed and the terrible grief I felt, but I think crying is a much needed release at times. The way this has been played, not only do Daniel and Sinead deserve awards, but the whole Street does. I agree about the incident with Bethany, no need for it in my opinion and yes, she is leaving.

AOG, I can distinguish between a fictional drama and a real life tragedy. I have NEVER rubber knecked and cannot understand those that do. Not only do I respect the privacy of the people involved I really do not want to scenes that I could never forget.

derek, there is a huge difference between being early at a scene and stopping to help and rubbernecking when the emergency services are in attendance. Rubberneckers cause more accidents!

Hc. I agree with you, but watching a long protracted episode of someone dying isn't really necessary. It was too drawn out. It was well acted, I love a good drama, can live with all events, but I have watched real life drawn out deaths several times and don't want to be reminded. And if girls are going to have checks because of this story, then that's good. But that episode at that length was far too much, in my opinion, and would just frighten girls who may even not want to go for checks because of the feared outcome.

And if the message goes out that people should be more aware of any changes in their bodies, to delay getting a diagnosis or treatment out of fear will always be the worst option.
