Just got a combat boots but I don't exactly know where to practice, is it legal to use the trees in the woods as long as I know no one is around?

The prime target in the House of Commons I suggest, would be that little chap in the high chair at the far end.

Yes absolutely. Don't listen to the other people in here who don't have any clue what they're talking about. Whilst it's illegal to shoot an air rifle, or a crossbow, in public land in the UK (such as a forest) it is not illegal to practise archery. There are NO LAWS banning the use of bows in public. There are laws specifically banning the carrying of knives, the carrying of air rifles, crossbows etc, but there is no law that mentions bows. Therefore you will not be in any trouble at all if you use your bow and arrows in a public place like a park or a forest. You are merely practising your sport. However if people who always complain and have nothing better to do (like some in these comments) call the police on you, the police may make you go home or take your bow and arrows away from you, citing some law like public order, offensive weapons act etc. However if you said you were not threatening anyone and were legally practising archery you could not possibly be convicted of any crime in a court of law. You will likely just be constantly harassed by people who don't have anything better to do other than complain. So I advise finding a quiet place in the forest. Also if you accidentally shoot someone then you could be in a lot of trouble so you should choose a good area to shoot, a clearing with a wide field of vision, downhill and a good backstop so you always know where the arrows will end up. Good luck!

As one of those people, may I ask on what you are basing these opinions?
