The pyramid scheme house of cards will collapse without our money and innate sense of what is right and wrong, attenuating it's largess. We are indeed the Samson at the heart of the temple of the false deity Dagon. We have been on the treadmill powering the finances and comfort of the unelected dictators, and deprived of free thought and will for long enough. We will bring down the vainglorious edifice from within if we are forced to remain.
Togo, I confess I am not one for preaching any gospel and instead leave religion to its followers. I have my suspicions and simply watch from a suitable distance and await the outcome. Will all the posturing look so noble in hindsight ?
Not a religious analogy Karl. I leave fervour and blind obedience to the Remainiacs. More a metaphor, and a warning, that the mandarins in the ponzi scheme are abundantly aware and wary of. Hence their hysterics since we found the collective with the will and intent to carry out the wishes of our Referendum. We will undermine the shoddy foundation of their sandcastle and allow the tide of public realisation to wash it away all the sooner if we are forced to remain.
To paraphrase a hymn, "All my hope in Boris is founded". Let us pray that he remains firm and in three weeks we will once again be free.
Re: French in Britain. We left France in 2015 and at that time there were more French in London (with commensurate bistros and businesses, so the area was called 'Little France') that there were Brits. in France. They don't seem to be flooding out.
Our G.P. is Dutch and we speak French with him, which we all enjoy (to keep our language skills fresh), he is unworried by any possible rule changes.
I believe there is an area in London known as Petty (petit) France.
Petty France is a street.

There are probably marginally (about 15%)more British in French than vice versa.
//Petty France is a street.//

Indeed. It is believed it acquired its name because it was home to many of the Huguenot refugees who settled there. Until 2002 it was the location of London's Passport Office.
I keep hearing about these "exciting new deals" if/when we leave the EU. What "exciting new deals" would they be, then? Does someone on here know of them? Company names? Types of products? Deals with the USA? China can't get a deal with the USA, so what chance do we have? But we are leaving Europe on Oct 31st. It said so on the telly and in the papers, so it must be true. And all you remainers out there, just think: part of your taxes are paying for the govt ads that tell us we're leaving! Good innit?!!! :o)
It may have escaped your notice but we aren't eligible to make new deals until free of EU restrictions. No idea why you think we'd be unable to make them. The nation has had a decent record of world trading in the past; but there again, granted, we weren't hampered by doomsayers then.
