Unauthorised Credit Card Transactions

Hope somebody can help/has had experience of this.

Briefly.....

My CC is linked to my Apple account. My 10 year old son plays a game called Roblox, and unknown to me, over the last month he has made nearly 200 in-game transactions totalling £1,600 (Yes, £1,600!). It turns out when he makes an in-game transaction there's no safeguard such as requiring the Apple password (which he doesn't know).

To give him the benefit of the doubt, he didn't realise what he was doing, but nonetheless these are unauthorised transactions.

I'm angry with myself (perhaps I should have been keeper a closer eye), and angry with Roblox and my CC company, as surely their systems should recognise something that is clearly unusual/odd.

My question.....anybody any idea if I can claim the money back from Roblox or the Credit Card Company.

Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry but you're just going to have to suck this one up with the learned knowledge that you don't share chargeable accounts with game hungry kids who are not old enough to understand the real consequences of what they're doing when it comes to online game transactions.

^^^I suspect you're right - lesson learnt.

The money is largely irrelevant - it's how quickly and how easily it's allowed to happen by Roblox that is concerning.
