My ex and i are not together anymore for various reasons. My son has his father's surname and i'm pregnant again! Is there a way i could change the surname without too much bother?
Also what are your views on my wanting to do this? is it the right decision? My ex was violent, a cheat and a bum! I don't want anything more to do with him and therefore taking his surname off my child's birth certificate would be a clean start.

Thanks in advance, please no rude/offensive replies please.

If you were married to your son's father then you will need his permission. If not, I think you can proceed as above.

Lol!! to tradey! you're a star! x

Sounds easy and cheap enough for me!
It was his ex who text me to tell me of the affair 2 weeks ago because she kicked his lazy arse out of her house!
I suspected he was'nt the faithfull type but i did'nt have proff so i hung on! what a fool eh?

Anyway i'm glad i've fkd him off and can move on with my life even though he's left me pregnant again while having the affair! I know i'll be fine with just my kids and maybe meet someone one day soon! lol.xx

Le chat, i was'nt married to him (thank god)! so this wo'nt be necessary.

thanks xx

i use my surname for my son, but when he was registered me and ex used both surnames, so dropping one was easy, but i dont see why you cant change it, we will be changing my sons surname when we get married, before the legal adoption goes ahead, we were told this could go ahead as its not for illegal gain, ie fraud etc
thank god you werent married then, youll be fine hun much better without him you dont need or deserve what you have been through no woman does.you will cope fine even when the new baby comes, dont worry and good luck for the future take care xx
It wouldn't actually be changed on the birth certificate though, he would just be known by your surname
