…. for best part of a week, my legs refused to work on Monday, would take no part in supporting me, was Blue Lighted into local big A & E, first stop was the Stroke Clinic, lots of Scans, Tests and Interviews, in there for almost 4 hours, then interrogation by Stroke Dept (TIA) Consultant who found no problems whatsoever and wanted to know who referred me as they only take two patients a day each and I had wasted half his day (thanks pal) I was happy to supply the culprits name. Had another three days of test and interviews and came away 1600ish yesterday still none the wiser, ah well.

Baldric, what happened just before your legs refused to work? A similar thing happened to me about ten years ago, it happened in the afternoon and I had fallen asleep in a chair. The phone woke me and I tried to stand up but the legs just buckled, managed to get to the phone on my knees. My caller phoned for an ambulance and I had a lot of tests but nothing found. The Doctor eventually said something along the lines that I had been awakened very quickly by the phone call and somehow the brain "forgot" to send the right message to the legs, make of that what you will. It hasn't happened since.

Theland, I promise I will not get angry with you ;o)
19.26 , thought you said you were going to behave like a normal person, it did not last long did it .
Very sorry to hear of what must have been a frightening experience. Fingers crossed all is well now.
Glad to hear you are recovering from what sounds like a scary and puzzling experience.
Very frightening for you Baldric and maybe your Consultant could do with a refresher training course. Hope all going weĺl now x
Glad you’re home but being “none the wiser” is very frustrating.
One evening in May my legs went and I lost the ability to speak. I was in hospital four days. MRI, CT, basic bloods, BP all normal. I couldn’t do the policeman’s straight line walk though.
Nothing has happened since except I get occasional ‘stumblies’.
I’m not dwelling on it either.
All the best to you.

Been out for a nice long dog walk this afternoon, just a Mobile for a minder, no problems, felt like normal, enjoyed it.
Glad to hear it - and pleased you didn't drown in all this rain:D
