Help With Deleting On Facebook

I have been trying to delete posts etc from my Facebook page but when I try to delete just a blank square shows, other options still work but not the delete. Help appreciated.

I keep receiving emails from FB advising me, "Steven", about the latest posts from various people. I'm not called Steven. I don't use FB. I've never signed up to it. At the bottom of the notification, there is an option to "Unsubscribe". I click on the option and next page shows a hand with a bandaged thumb, saying the page is broken. I suppose I can't unsubscribe if I've never signed up in the first place, but all very baffling. Probably spam. I'll have to block the emails. Seems like the only answer. Sorry Cari. That's not helpful for you at all is it?
