There's a 50's British crime film starring Jack Hawkins called The Long Arm. Safes are being emptied, suggesting an inside job, but a pattern emerges - all the safes are the same make. At one point Hawkins goes to Snowdonia, stunning shots of the lakes and mountains, quiet roads, no cars. Well worth a watch, if a little implausible at times.
