Corrie has nearly always managed to blend the darker storylines with lighter comedy moments, a few days back they really shocked me.

Mary was trying to get Ed to come home for his party, he wasn't interested so she blurted out "come quick, Aggie's having a heart attack!"

Really!! Of all the excuses, lying or joking about someone having a heart attack is not funny.

To make it worse when Ed gets home everyone laughs especially as the music is play Althea & Donna with the line "let me give you heart attack".

Heart attacks are serious and if they want to do a series storyline but dont write it into a comedy sketch.

I'm probably being oversensitive but I've never felt like putting in a complaint more than i do right now.

I wouldn't complain either, but it was in bad taste and in no way funny. Speaking as someone who's husband did have a major heart attack and will never forget the panic.

I totally agree with you Darcey.
I used to watch Corrie for light entertainment but these days it’s so utterly depressing.
I don’t think it was funny because it was a dreary storyline. I wasn’t upset about it although I do know heart attack's are serious - both parents had one. Some people will complain about the slightest thing.
i like the way a door has appeared in aggies house on ken barlow's dividing wall
Didn't think it was funny, but didn't feel the need to complain either and yes, I know people who have had heart attacks.

derek at 15:26, I've not noticed that, will have to have a look next time their house is on.
I know some people find Mary funny, but I just find her aggravating.

She does nothing for me either danny.

I'm not going to complain really but it did shock me, a comedy filler about a heart attack!!??, shes twisted her ankle would have sufficed.
Danny and HereIam: I agree with both of you.

NellieMay, i totally agree with you, its not worth complaining about, i was just shocked at the bad taste.

That was the phase i was looking for 'bad taste'.
The last 4 episodes have started with “ Contains some violence” that’s not the Corrie that was, and having The character Gary as the street henchman ,is just so unbelievable
