Children are no longer taught History(the meaningful facts) in school and are once again flocking to the cause of one who has had a "vision". Just like in the original "Children's Crusade". They are likewise being tricked and sold into slavery before they get to the promised land. As in the Pied Piper of Hamlin, which was likely based on this event, the piper will need to be paid and the children are on a journey from which there is no return or happy ending.
