Hi I have an email from this agency. Looks odd but I've googled it and nothing appears to say its not genuine. It relates to a debt with Axa and I did have a policy with them. But the email is addressed to another person which screams spam to me. Has anyone got advice? I don't want to call them I case it's one of those numbers that charges huge amounts as a con. if you think it might be genuine then you might call Axa?
The phone number shown here starts with 03:
https://www.carsuk.org/how-to-contact-us/

Ofcom rules require all phone service providers (both landline and mobile) to charge calls to 03 numbers at the same rates as they charge to 01 and 02 numbers. If you've got a landline phone plan that gives you free calls to 01 and 02 numbers, or a mobile with 'included minutes' on a contract (or in a 'bundle') that meands that your call will be FREE. (Otherwise you'll only pay the same as when you call your granny in Northampton or your sister in Newcastle).
Included minutes are still being used up so could result in you paying for a call later in the month that you otherwise wouldn't have. So not necessarily free.

Does one pay for waiting in the queue being told your call is important to them ? I suspect so.

Meanwhile why was the agency paycars.co.uk but the e-mail from carsuk.org ? Seems curious.
^^^ O_G:
CARS (Credit Account Recovery Solutions) uses 'carsuk.org' as their main domain name but they've created a separate domain name solely for use by people making payments to them. If you hover your mouse cursor over the 'Make a Payment' button on the main website, you'll see that the link goes to the alternative domain, so everything seems to be in order:
