On the subject of funerals, my local undertaker advertises in their window low cost "unattended cremation".

How does that work then, do they just set light to you in a field say, and then clear off ?

I think I’d like a Direct cremation for me, followed by nibbles and champagne for my closest family. Can’t bear the thought of an almost empty crematorium.

Tories/LibDems: that makes it tricky. LD is my usually next best choice as Lab doesn’t have a chance here. Don’t want to vote for Tory.

Re Ben Stokes: despicable piece of reporting. I won’t even call it journalism.

My wife was taken to the crematorium by a hearse drawn by two caparisoned white horses (video on YouTube).

Guilty moment for me: felt so sorry for the two horses after their four mile journey. Wife would have agreed and slagged me off for not having used the petrol thing.
