You could write it as a recollection of events that happened in your youth.e.g "do you remember when"? etc.

Thank you. What else could I base it on if you know what I mean. Can you give me a few starter points please
Not being a writer I don't think that I can help you any further than my suggestion.Sorry.
Sammyjo,are you a student?
You could start with your earliest memory of being small to starting school, the first day and then go on from there with milestones that have occurred right up to the present day
Things you could do differently

Things you would not do

Things you regret

Things you don't regret

Maybe you could write a "I'm sorry" letter to your former self, saying that you're sorry but you can't give them any clues to what life will hold, because if you do, it may not be what it is
If you could go back in time and tell your younger self anything what would you tell them?
You don't say how old you are now but did you have any issues in your younger days and have you overcome them. Perhaps explaining how you did this in your letter would give your younger self the confidence to maybe overcome the issues much earlier than you actually did. Hope that makes sense to you.

Thank you ken4155. So to start writing to my younger self, what words do I use. Like I am, I would, etc
I would most likely begin with; "Hello little me. You don't know me but you will in time........................"
Question Author
Thank you ken4155. Once I have got into it, would I say things like I am and explain what I'm like now and what Im doing and stuff. Would I use the words I am.
The present you is "I" and the former you is "you". Think of the former you as a different person about whom you know everything.
Question Author
So I would need to use the word you. E. G you don't know how good it is to speak to you. Things like that
Yes.
Question Author
Could you then explain to my younger self some of the struggles I have overcome and stuff
Sammyjo, take a look at the lyrics of the song 'Class Of 1999' and imagine that instead of addressing the ladies and gentlemen of that class, the lyricist is addressing his younger self. Then choose the bits of the song (if any) that pertain to you and, in your own words (of course) incorporate them into your letter.
Question Author
Thank you so much ken4155, what title would I use.
Titles are for books, poems and short stories. This is a personal letter to your younger self and requires no title, imho. Best of luck with it.
