According to the news reports the UK is expected to have a bumper year of these delightful butterflies, which only happens about once in a decade.
I've not seen any, so far or many of other species for that matter and I've started dead-heading my Buddlea already.
Anyone else seen them in large numbers yet ?

No but my buddleias are way later than normal. They are only just coming in to flower when they are usually well brown and over by now.
Not yet, here in West Yorkshire. Only a few cabbage whites so far.
I've seen a few but I noticed far more by this time last year!
I've only seen the ones my grandchildren hatched.
I saw quite a few the other day. In fact I was surprised how many butterflies were around as a few days previously I had seen hardly any. I saw mainly painted lady, tortoiseshells and even a peacock butterfly.

It took a while but actually saw one in the garden today.
Well, it was either three PL's or one making tree visits, but definitely not the millions, predicted by experts.
Hoping to see more but my Buddlea is almost finished. ;-(
