Iphone Can't Connect To Itunes To Update

Hello,
After failed password attempts iPhone is disabled connect to iTunes. We do this pop up appears on screen 'DO you want to allow this computer to access information on ipod.If you don't allow access you will not be able to manage or sync your iPhone with this computer. Then click continue. We do this and a pop up appears to allow access, please respond on your iphone. The green bar goes round and round but nothing appears on the iphone to proceed. Have googles withougt success. Any suggestions please?
