fabrication
lie
theory
antonyms of fact
Will fiction not work?
Question Author
afraid not - you have to find the answer from a passage "groups specific to your needs and get advice and information from our professional staff. Coming to Maggie" - FICT or FICTO was all I could see ....
Question Author
thanks Mamyalynne ....can you see another word for lukewarm in passage ... "hospital grounds where you can meet people who are experiencing that same things you are, find support"
Lew
Question Author
many thanks Mamyalynne but the word has to be as seen in passage ie not just picking out some letters and making up a word - thanks
Fiction
So - peopLE Who - is not allowed?
Lew is right.

Whilst FICT could be right it is an abbreviation and needs a fullstop perhaps.
fiction works if you are allowed to omit a chunk of letters:
speciFIC(to your needs and get advice and informa)TION
The sentence used is so long that I wonder if they are looking for a longer answer than FICT since FICT would render most of the csentence unnecessary
I doubt faffing with full stops is necessary in a local quiz.

Yes, I knew Lew was right when I answered on Sunday.
Lew - another word learnt, ta Lynne.
>Yes, I knew Lew was right when I answered on Sunday.

I never doubted that you knew. I was just reminding the OP. Sorry for interfering

Didn't mean to snap FF, it just seemed a touch unnecessary when I had just shown the workings of the answer to Tollview.

I could blame my testiness on the thunder at 5.45am but that would be lame of me, sorry.

Please accept my apologies Mamyalynne for causing you all this trouble - I need to go to Specsavers!! I just didn't read the correct part of the passage and yes a new word learnt for me (and a lesson!!) Many thanks again
The passage used for the FICT one seems very odd- I wonder why for example they tagged on the random sounding sentence of "Coming to Maggie"
