Hi everyone! Woohoo, we’re back! With a little under a month until first kick-off – Friday August 9th - I've taken the liberty of restarting the AnswerBank League at Sky Sports –
https://fantasyfootball.skysports.com/

(This is where I pretty much C & P last season’s blurb...)

Hopefully all the regulars will enter a couple of teams & a few more fancy having a go this season. Don't worry if you know *nothing* about football but still want to join in - you can use the option to have a team selected at random. The facility to enter a 3rd team in January will also be available.

As last year, we're given £100m to spend & have unlimited transfers until the Match Day deadline on Friday 9th August, from then on you get 5 per week / 40 for the season. They've kept the "Overhaul" feature, which means that for one week in September & one week in February, *unlimited* transfers will be available, *not* coming out of the 40 per season allowance - this is always quite handy!

Info on all that ^ & more is here - https://fantasyfootball.skysports.com/help

The paragraph "Captain Changes" in that link ^ is a "must-read".

When you've picked a team (or two) - yourself, or used automatic selection, name your team(s), then join the League - ours is called "AnswerBank" & the PIN you need to enter is -

8421414

You can then change the visibility of your team(s) between "Public" & "Private", depending on whether you want other Managers to be able to see the details. When your team is created, click the “Settings” button on the pitch, then click “Change team to private”.

A note here - just because I'm called the League "Chairman" doesn't mean I'm given special powers. I can't see "Private" teams & I get no other privileges.

The following links can be useful (though as they point out, not necessarily definitive) to check for injuries and suspensions prior to game days -

http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php

This can be useful near to, or on, Game Days (though final updates can be infuriatingly late) -

Ok, I think that's covered everything needed to get the League going – I’ll post reminders every now & again, more often as the opening day nears.

I wish everyone lots of fun & good luck for the forthcoming season! :-))

Another bump - 2 weeks to kick-off, so let's get some more teams in the League :-)
Yep new teams are always welcome.. I had another look at my teams today... on screen (AD; looking good on paper) ... but as we all know anything can happen in Football.
Question Author
Hi Arky - my teams are still unchecked, will get to them next week I think :-)
Well with the transfer window still open, possibilities of a few changes still may be needed but a few players I will admit to not being too familiar with, the Budget etc... but price tag looking good and good points tally.

A more rounded more balanced look to my teams this season, after doing so lacklustre with them last season... picking too many under performing expensive ones.

Another bump - follow the instructions & join the League, we need all the regulars back & anyone playing for the first time is most welcome :-)

Another bump - I'll do this at least once a day until Friday, let's get the League numbers up :-)
Nice one LIK, I spotted your other one yesterday and was just about to post one today. With the Lionesses doing so well in the world cup I'd have thought the Ab Editor's would be in already ;-)
Question Author
Hi Arky - I agree & think the techies should have their own team to provide some inter-office rivalry :-)
Lol yes Love it... 'AB Towers' and 'Spare AB Towers Watanabe's ... That'd be great.

Next bump...

Arky - I gave them some names to try out a couple of years ago - "Edsenal" & "Techenham Hotspur" :-)
Wow and they didn't take you up using those names.

... I always thought he were a polite fella...
Not for theTelegraph?, I am already in
two Sky Sports leagues.
You could always make it an Hat-trick.
Just entered 2 teams - Carrot 'n' Boozer (don't know where the 'r' came from) and JayRod's Back. Best of luck to all.

Question Author
We're up to 17 teams, but need 12 more to match last season's count (more would be better) - let's see those names entered... :-)

Where are you? Let's be having you. Come on...
