Eyeing someone up for a potential partner is different than eyeing someone up like a piece of meat to use, abuse then toss to the side. Or was trump and Epstein looking for long term relationships from these parties?

I realise that you are young and immature, but when one 'eyes up' a member of the apposite sex, marriage or a long term relationship isn't foremost in one's mind, that hopefully comes later, when true love kicks in and the wish to spend the rest of one's life together.

AOG, it's all a matter of perspective and it's also very situational.

Maybe you've got a specific situation in mind, but i could never allocate what you've just said to every situation where i may see a women.
That's simply not true. There are people who instantly fall in love and know the person they see is the one they're going to marry.

Exactly Zacs.
I agree with aog. Eyeing someone up doesn’t indicate a desire for a permanent relationship. Only the desperate do that. Love at first sight? Maybe – but rare.
/// That's simply not true. There are people who instantly fall in love and know the person they see is the one they're going to marry. ///

I think that you will find that the person that has been 'eyed up' will have a say in that decision.
Naomi //. Love at first sight? Maybe – but rare.//
It happened to me when I met my wife on a blind date.
'I think that you will find that the person that has been 'eyed up' will have a say in that decision.'

I'm sure they do. But you can't deny it happens, which makes your earlier comment 'when one 'eyes up' a member of the apposite sex, marriage or a long term relationship isn't foremost in one's mind' untrue and therefore didn't warrant you labelling spath 'immature'.
It happened to me once too, danny - but in retrospect I wonder ....

I got over it.

Not love at first sight Danny, but being attracted to the person and later finding that after being together in each others company finding that you are both compatible to each other ie sharing the same interests etc and can't bear the thought of being separated from each other, then that is when love kicks in.
Jesus. Even when evidence is presented he argues. Hand me that spade, AOG.
AOG, Not true, I knew by the end of that first date how I felt about her.Wanting to get married came after finding that we were compatible.
Question Author
I never eye up women like pieces of meat, AOG. You do you, though.
To be fair, spath, I can't see any evidence of AOG indicating that he eyes women up as apiece of meat. I think you've miss interpreted his 11:03 post.
