They weren’t forced to walk away, they chose to, and is it the end of the world if they got splashed with champagne.?

They walked off because they had some urgent business to attend to, apparently to stave off liquidation ;-)
I’d hop it. I don’t like champagne or wine.
Nobody involved seems the slightest bit bothered. I would probably move away too, but not out of disapproval.
Well I am surprised to see the Telegraph behaving like the Mail.
champagne used to be fine wine. When did it become something to spray people with?
They moved away because of their religious beliefs, at least they didn't demand no champagne be sprayed in order not to be offended by its presence as some would.
Personally they could, at that moment, have done anything they wanted and no-one would have minded.

I mean St Nige doesnt like - - milk shakes
it is in my opinion - - - a question of taste

There's an important moral point being missed here: if there's a team celebration which two of the members are unable to share then that celebration is not inclusive, is it?

And than can't be right, innit?
Those involved have no complaints, that should be good enough.
Not that I'm a lover of champagne (or perhaps I can't afforeally good stuff). Always had vintage cava for Christmas.

Mind you I have a story which maybe doesn't do me much credit. Some years ago now had a friend who was doing some work at Ascot during Royal Ascot.

No, I won't tell you the story about the Louis Roederer.
