I certainly recognise that speech. It sounds very similar to a highly praised speech attributed to Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard. This speech was denied and snopes said it was a HOAX. It went viral. It is strange no one turned a hair when it was circulated but then it wasn't attributed to POTUS was it? //: 'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT....

retrocop - // Because there was no vitriol or racism in it in the first place. //

The President will be disappointed!

He goes to all the trouble of typing out a misogynist racist nasty bullying tweet, and it's simply skated right over your mind.

He needs to try harder!

Happily his voters will be happy to see his every intention, and applaud it, which of course, is actually the idea.
Spicerack - // 'Trump shouldn't say rude or offensive things' is the mantra of people who can't open their fat gobs without spewing out the most vile, rude, offensive, not to mention banal, insults at Donald. //

Receiving insults and offensive remarks is something any politician deals with - it's not right, but it goes with the territory.

Writing vile misogynist racist tweets in the early hours and popping them on the Twitter account of the President does not go with the territory.
//The President will be disappointed! //

I am positive that there is very little the President has to be disappointed about even if he were not a President.
What about his mushroom penis?

Don't get up in the early hours and read them then. There is a time difference.

Why so upset? Are you his mum or something?
retrocop - // Don't get up in the early hours and read them then. There is a time difference. //

I have yet to read any tweet from anyone, anywhere, I don't have a Twitter account.

As for the 'early hours' - it is an acknowledged fact that this is the time the President tweets the most.

The rumours that his tweets are fueled by copious amounts of whisky, exaggerating and fueling his endless imagined personal slights and insecurities are of course, just rumours.

We could start with his hair …!!!!
//We could start with his hair …!!!!//

Then you would be making unwarranted personal snide remarks wouldn't you?
I wouldn't believe tittle tattle and rumours. I am told POTUS drinks Coca Cola and avoids alcohol. Still if you wish to add that to your vitriol arsenal then say it but I will take it with a pinch of salt.
// I am told POTUS drinks Coca Cola and avoids alcohol //

By all accounts he's teetotal, which arguably makes things worse. The fact that he types these things out when he's stone cold sober doesn't really make it look any better.
No Ludwig you are surely wrong because it doesn’t fit with any dirt digging from A-H that fits his agenda. Let A-H rant his spleen . Wonderful cure for insomnia.

I would - but I haven't, so you really need to learn to criticise me for what I actually post, rather than trying to see into the future, and then moan at me for something I haven't actually said!

I know your keenness to defend President Trump is legendary, but try and keep it in proportion can you?

// I wouldn't believe tittle tattle and rumours. I am told POTUS drinks Coca Cola and avoids alcohol. //

No, you are not 'told' - you don't have a private wire to the Oval Office, you 'read' or you 'hear' via the media, the same as the rest of us.

We all receive the information - it's just our interpretation of it that differs.

// Still if you wish to add that to your vitriol arsenal then say it but I will take it with a pinch of salt. //

Again, you need to stop putting the cart before the horse - I haven't said anything, so you don't need to jump up and down and be offended on the President's behalf.
retrocop - // No Ludwig you are surely wrong because it doesn’t fit with any dirt digging from A-H that fits his agenda. //

I am not 'dirt digging' and I don't have an 'agenda', I am simply discussing something in the news - we don't all take things as personally as you do.

// Let A-H rant his spleen . Wonderful cure for insomnia. //

I am not 'ranting' anything - and I'm not sure your suggestion is anatomically possible, but never mind, if it makes you feel better ...
Ludwig - // The fact that he types these things out when he's stone cold sober doesn't really make it look any better. //

I am happy to stand corrected on my misunderstanding regarding the President's alcohol consumption on the wee small hours - and as you say, the fact that he doesn't have excess alcohol to blur his dreadful thoughts and tweets makes it even more scary.
AH, //it's merely distancing us from what we are talking about, which is what he did say//

But you and the rest of the hard of understanding are not talking about what he said. You’re now talking about hair, alcohol, teapots, deckchairs, penises ….

An attempt to introduce distance – certainly - but not a terribly smart one.
Naomi - // But you and the rest of the hard of understanding … //

I understand perfectly thank you, and I don't appreciate being patronised - yet again.
^ OMG says the King of Patronisers.
No,I don't think he was being racist. I sometimes sit and wonder about all those' wonderful' foreign doctors and nurses who are apparently keeping our NHS functioning. Then I think about all those countries that they have left behind in order to seek a 'better life' in the UK.Countries where disease and poverty are claiming the lives of countless numbers of people. Crying out for medical people to help them. If I was a qualified person in the medical profession my instincts would make me go back and try to help my people . Maybe Donald Trump has made a valid point . Those women might be US citizens now but their ancestry will be rooted in some of those crime, drugs, poverty stricken and diseased countries that he spoke about.
Oh dear. Oh dear.
//No, you are not 'told' - you don't have a private wire to the Oval Office, you 'read' or you 'hear' via the media, the same as the rest of us.//

Then were do you get your vitriol fuelled spiteful comments from?
We have to have an element of trust in what we hear or read from the media don't we?
Of course, as an unqualified journalist, you stated a few years back that you were assigned the Montreal Jazz Festival. A subject you admitted you hadn't a clue on. Report on it you did so why should any hapless reader of a music rag believe anything you opine with regard to the music scene?
FYI a full menu of the state banquet was mentioned for the State Visit of POTUS. It included the wine list with each course. As an aside it was mentioned that POTUS did not normally drink alcohol but may have a glass of wine on this occasion.
Of course with your warped reasoning the State Banquet might never of happened because it was reported in the media.
