I thought Johnson did an excellent job, arguing for the GATT, article 24, section 5(b) option.

Of course he could have saved some of the technicalities by saying that he really wanted to "carry on exactly as now, but look as if I have appeased the Brexit camp", but he is a far bigger man than that.

I went to a husting the same evening. The two of them with Ian Dale. We had to drive through a demonstration of EU flag waving Lib Dums. One spit on my window. I managed to shout *** to Brussells. They both did well but we had already voted and our. Votes were confirmed. Can only say that we were impressed by the number of young Conservatives who we engaged in conversation with. So the party isn't all 70 year olds.

I know people who were that that one: they categorically deny any such thing happened where they were, and I believe them.
