not sure what else they can do. nothing will happen until the new prime minister is appointed by the queen, on the 24th. the day after, on the 25th, parliament recesses until the 3rd September. after that, they recess again the following week until 7th October for the conference season. leaving them precious little time to do anything.

parliament won't permit no deal, and moves are under way to prevent suspension. all they can realistically do is attempt to extend the deadline - or revoke A50

That's an excellent statement of the position our politicians have collapsed into. It would shame a Greek tragedy.
We need a leader with guts - Elizabeth 1, Churchill, Thatcher are not around.
