Hurt my back gardening the other day, OK apart from coccyxpretty painful, should I use warm or cold treatment as well as painkilllers?

Any help very welcome!

Thanks for your help, just been trying cold compress,it seems to be helping. (So far!)
I agree with bednobs....if cold helps....then use it.

I would go for hot water bottle
NOT too hot - that area is not particularly heat sensitive and it would be easy to scald....

er - bottoms up !
I find it is a personal preference as both can work, heat makes me too itchy! :)
I go for a hot water bottle every time - one of those that isn't actually water but is heated in the microwave - brilliant things!
Whatever works is the right answer. My preference is a bag of frozen peas. You might also want to try Voltarol gel.
Voltarol is very good, albeit very expensive.
You're worth it.
