On my last car insurance quote I mistakenly put down that I had an accident in July 2014 + I had a speeding ticket and 3points on my license in August 2014. But after reviewing some past bank statements I have put the wrong year down. So it's comes to both the accident and the speeding points were wiped of my insurance record in 2018 as both accident and ticket were in 2013. Why didn't my present insurers tell me that I was clean ? and I had put the wrong dates down

they base their data on what you give them. Unless they asked you to provide a check code from DVLA so they can check your driving record? eg : https://www.gov.uk/check-driving-information If not then they are basing their calculations on what you gave them. Contact them and set the record straight ASAP.

Yes as said , they ONLY know what you tell them !
dl56uk whatever you have told your present company, go to comparison site and see what quote they give you.
e.g. gocompare
I religiously do it ever year when policies are up for renewal, last year even my present company was giving better quote online than the one they had quoted me in the post, but they matched a competitors quote that was even cheaper to keep the business.
