Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Have you tried it without the 's' at the end? I haven't got a paper yet so haven't seen the clue

I do the cryptic at the weekends as well, despite no prize offered.

Leaving the 's' off mucks up the down clues I'm afraid.

I think the problem is only with the online version. It fits OK with the printed version. It's Head office Rover used in training course. (Anagram of HO rover used.)

MargoTester is right then - there's no S on the end.
The bar pattern must be wrong in the online version - just move it one space to the left.

I've got no idea what's going on! I clicked on the reveal solution option and all the down clues are incorrect. And leaving off the 's' (yes I now see that there was only one in the anagram) again mucks up the down clues.

Agreed Professor. The only way to complete it correctly on line is to insert an apostrophe - except there is no apostrophe on the online keyboard!
