I find it difficult at times to have a conversation where I have to watch what I am saying,that could be the reason I make so many blunders on here,
My daughter is forever saying you can’t say that dad,or that’s not said anymore,my personal opinion is that it has gone to far the other way,yes there are some things should not be said and in saying that I find that the use of the F word in every day speech has become like god bless you to an awful lot of people.

Totally agree with Prudie at 10.26. It shocked me. Even after the explanation. If it were said to me by someone I don't know, and I had not asked for advice, on the News section, I would be left upset and worried. A question like that should only be asked tactfully in private by someone we know well or a doctor

I know an awful lot of people both young and old who are sick to death of the modern PC culture. I have heard a lot of them saying that it is now sometimes difficult to carry out what should be a normal conversation because they are frightened of ''putting their foot in it''.We have to be so careful not to offend that it is curtailing free speech.
So it's not just jordy.

I am in my 70s and cannot for the life of me imagine how I would fare if I still worked in an office, as I did through the 50s/60s/70s, office life was based on banter with both male and female colleagues, including a good number of rude jokes. Yes we girls got groped from time to time by office pests, and we dealt with it, a stiletto ground into the upper of a shoe usually worked quite well! We just laughed it off, ignored it and got on with life. I have to say I am quite glad I am not a youngster in this day and age!
