For your analysis to work, you must assume that the Moderator whom you think is using powers and personal clashes unfairly, is the Moderator who has deleted the thread, and this may not actually be the case - it could be that the Ed has pulled it, we have no way of knowing.

My point is, your assumption is just that - you have no actual evidence to back it up.

I know this is an argument I have made many times, and it is one I am not going to win, but I'll say it again -

Moderators are chosen by the Editor, who can equally rescind their role if they are abusing their position.

I honestly believe that Moderators do their best, and be as objective as they can.

Speaking personally, I never delete posts of threads that address me personally, or for reasons based on my personal attitude either to the post, or the poster, and I believe my colleagues do the same.

There will always be those who will disagree with me, and accuse me of doing the things I deny, I can live with that.

Not true - as advised, Moderators do not see reports, only the Editorial team get them - Moderators remove threads or posts that they see.

I have not seen the post to which you refer, if I had I would have removed it on sight.

If it is still there, please identify time and location, and I will be delighted to remove it as soon as I see it.

There have been many threads alleging a bias of some mods but since those mods are around still, I think it safe to say the ED does not agree.

I don't see the point in the constant mumping and digs at certain folk only because they are known to be mods.

If you're not happy about the way the mods are doing their jobs, why not volunteer your services?

I have been a Moderator as long as the site has had them, and that has been through at least three changes of Editor, so I must be doing something right, and I cling to that when the constant sniping and attacks get to me, and I cry myself to sleep ...
