I will miss this place and most of its users but I have had enough of the censorship.

This conversation has been repeated many times over the years on AB. There is never a solution. I believe the mods who are up front and honest about their position are not the ones to be concerned about .
Andy-hughes, //I believe that Moderators act in the best interests of the site//

I stopped believing that when I asked you to remove what was probably the worst insult I’ve ever seen on these pages – and you refused. Happily someone else did the job.
If andy acted from others asking, that would make him a bad moderator, wouldn't it?

If andy felt it was fine, and someone didn't, that is how it is.
I assume that's why there is more than one moderator, so there are a few opinions in charge
andy-hughes

/// I think that is your opinion, and unsurprisingly, I don't agree with it, ///

That is not at all suprising, as you are a perfect example of a bias moderator, one has only to read some of your attacks on certain ABers and yes that does include me.
It wasn't fine. It broke 'the rules' big time!
"It wasn't fine. It broke 'the rules' big time!"

Then you should have reported it to an editor, and not a moderator on the page. Like anyone else would.
I reported when a male, can't remember who, called Naomi a c o w. Still rankles today that it was not removed.
I can imagine it puts a moderator in an awkward position when a member publicly requests a removal, especially if that request of removal isn't a definite defiance of the Site Rules.
Well ladybirder her avatar is quite black and white, but how dare anyone defy my love like that. Probably best i know not who they are.
spath, read the posts. Someone else removed it.
Oh and really sorry you're going Talbot but not really surprised.
Yes, as i understand it, a random moderator, who we have no idea who they are.

For all we know it could have been andy, pretending not to remove it, in case the act of removing it under request from yourself, stired up more trouble.
// Someone else removed it. //

Let me get this straight. Someone called you a cow, you asked a moderator to remove it, and they didn't?
Sorry to see you go, Talbot. Regarding what I assume is the issue at hand, we can't let links to videos with bad language stay on what is meant to be a family-friendly website and so the thread was removed.

Regarding the moderation discussion, this has come up before and it isn't up for debate on the website. If you have concerns about a particular incident or member, please email us or use the contact form. Thread closed.
