Surely you can do better than me, can't you?

Well done, Hopkirk! Better than the vast majority of people this week!

GG: You seem to have the same sort of luck on the lottery that I do!

Susan: Sorry, I somehow missed your last post until now. There was never much doubt about the cause of my problems. My (benign) prostate enlargement initially meant that I had to pee often (and/or urgently) but then it prevented me from peeing at all.

11 days of urinary retention led to my kidneys almost shutting down altogether, along with fluid around my heart and lungs. The hospital got most of the 'knock on' problems sorted out (although I'm still on a low potassium diet because of my kidney difficulties) but the underlying one (i.e. the enlarged prostate gland) still needs to be sorted out. (They're planning on 'reducing' it, rather than removing it). Until then I still can't pee, so I need the catheter in.

I'm not surprised that poor little Frankie's special food is expensive. It costs nearly 40 quid just to walk through the door of our local vet's surgery! It might be worth researching exactly what it is that makes the food so 'special' (i.e. what is has, or hasn't, got in it), to see if there's a cheaper alternative.

Love to Frankie from my feline foursome!
Hope you get your plumbing problems sorted out soon, Chris. I'm feeling relieved after a clear AAA scan yesterday - was very apprehensive as there was a family history which increased my chances of having one. ( I think that must be why I bought the lottery ticket today!)

An AAA scan, GG?

Does that mean that you run on these?

Yes, I knew what it means really, 'cos I've had one. I was disappointed though because, after an ultrasound scan of my tummy, I was hoping to be told whether it was a girl or a boy;-)
Oh yes, Chris, I can keep going all night...
Question Author
In the early stages of my prostate problem, I was 'going' all night too, GG ;-)
4/7 this week, one was a very lucky guess
1/7 must keep up with the news.
Question Author
Well done Maydup! (Better than most!)

Thank you for making me feel good about my own score, Clyde59 ;-)
5/7.

I got the Cameron job wrong and the Fiat/Chrysler one.

First timer here. 6 (including 1 guess). I'll quit while I'm ahead!
2/10, and they were both guesses. I haven't seen any of the subjects/answers in the news.

So what are people reading/watching during the week to know these answers?
Mock the Week?
Question Author
All of the stories are on the BBC News website, Prudie, which I check every few hours of the day - but I still can't get the answers right!
4/7
I got 3 right.
Question Author
Well done, Webbo3. That's a decent score this week.

Not fantastic maybe, AYG, but better than me anyway!
