We have a certain capacity for happiness.
No amount of money, wealth and power can increase our happiness, but often compromise it.
A new born baby, a walk in the countryside, a kind word can all make us extremely happy. How can you add to that?
What say you?

Money can buy happiness as long as you are a good human being. I've been wealthy and I've been poor, I was happier with the wealth.

A nice walk doesn't buy school uniforms or pay your bills
I agree with ummmm^^

Happiness......slips off the the tongue.....it means different things to different people and at best it tends to be transitory.

Most people if asked would say........"I haven't been happy and i haven't been unhappy for the main part of my life."
exactly. Lack of money brings worry no beautiful sunset will change.
I guess it’s true about health re Christopher Reeve. The same is true of Michael Schumacher. I’d guess either of them would have swapped all their wealth for their health. But they have (or had) enough money to enable them to be well cared for, at least.
It may sound glib but, Happiness is a manner in which to travel...it is not a destination itself.

I have a very happy life. :o)
I have a very happy life too. Not so sure I'd be so happy if I was skint.

The worry it's always there even when you stop and appreciate nature.

I watch my OH sleeping and you can see he doesn't have a care in the world. But.....he hasn't had to deal with death yet. Happiness might change for him. Sadly.

Happiness is not health or wealth. It's peace of mind.
Happiness to me is watching my children and my husband happy and its the little things in life I like, Walks don't do it for lol.. even flash holidays/cars etc.. I am wealthy ish, which does help I lot, but bad things happen and no amount of money can change it.. Live for today.
"No amount of money, wealth and power can increase our happiness, but often compromise it. "

I couldn't disagree more. There is an amount of money that will increase my happiness by a lot. I'm not after power.. who wants power.. But money? Well...
"Happiness is not health or wealth. It's peace of mind."

Yep, i agree. However, wealth can certainly provide that for many situations. If i had wealth, i wouldn't need to work to support myself. So i could spend my time focusing on the hobbies i have a strong passion for, but no time due to working to try to survive. With wealth comes freedom. That can't be said for power though.
But you'll never have peace of mind if you can't pay your bills
A life full of happiness, isn't a happy life. True happiness can only be appreciated when one has experienced such sadness.
True. I was unhappy for so many years and no amount of money would've have cured that.
