When I'm out and about I record Waypoints at places I see something that interests me, is it possible to transfer the waypoints to my computer and plot them on a map or satellite image? I do not wish to record routes or tracks, just the occasional waypoints.

Thanks for your reply. This suggests that you can use Google Earth for your mapping: http://www.edc.uri.edu/personal/erica/GPS_Basics/GPSetrex_to_GoogleEarth.pdf

Thanks Buenchico. It certainly works but the standard map on BaseCamp is very poor, better maps/satellite imagery seem to be available but at high cost or subscription. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks again Buenchico, that is absolutely fantastic, and doesn't cost a penny. I've obviously given you a best answer but it doesn't go anywhere near saying how grateful I am. Wonderful, Fantastic, Brilliant.
