Saturday. Overcast again. I hope it turns out like yesterday, warm and sunny. I'm in the Visitor Centre all day.Might see the last of the Tall Ships on their way to Gloucester Docks, if they are not all there yet.
My mates wife is cooking, so I have a good dinner to look forward to.

We enjoyed it the food was good and the people were friendly. Parts of it date back to 400 AD with very narrow streets in the old town, very picturesque and the coastline is stunning. Hope you have a good day at the visitors centre

Good morning WBM, good morning everybody. The sun is trying to peek through, but I'm off for a cuppa. Have a good day all.

Elderly washing machine was not ending on time going back to run again. Insured so called out engineer to replace computer. So far so good. Arrived and after much huffing and puffing and asking me what was wrong with the machine (surely this should have been on his charge sheets) he gets the back off and goes to fit new part. I did not watch all the time but OH says he then tried to force something - unfortunately OH could not see what - but he then replaces back panel and declares he broke some pins off and machine is now scrap and we need a new one. Fortunately insurance should cover the cost but will it be enough to get a near top quality machine which this was when we bought it? Also expecting visitors, one of whom is bringing girlfriend not met before and I would like to have everything looking clean to give a good impression (vanity thy name is woman).

I am fuming at the careless, ham-fisted actions of a cretin. Something else went wrong with the door of another machine a couple of years ago and he came out and started to take machine apart before I stopped him and said it was the hinge on the door that needed attention. Oh yes he says it's on the sheet here. As I said 'cretin'.

How annoying Lady!!

Yes I know Eleena. A small thing in the scheme of things but so irritating and unnecessary. Now I'm left wondering how much I will be accredited with and what sort of machine it will buy. I have to spend time choosing a machine and then I found out have to pay someone to install it. A cost, as a pensioner, I could well do without. Also I have to choose a machine either on line or by driving 30 miles to the nearest shop to see what is available. All because he was careless and ham-fisted.

Enough of that - how are you today?

Hoping to get some 'me' time later, grandaughter has gone to dad's while tomorrow night. So, once I've cleaned up, a shower & in the back garden.

The sun has now come out so hope you have a good time. Sounds like a good plan. I did have some washing to do but that will have to wait.

I expect the beaches will be full and lots of BBQ's this evening. Hope they all stay safe and do not need services of Coast Guards or Rescue Helicopters.
