How do I configure my system to 'run as administrator'?
I just want to update some software and when I click on the 'run as administrator' it tells me I don't have the right permissions,or something??? it's just happened recently??

Doesn't seem to help much. Still asks you for permission to run anyway.
Only some programs do it - the easiest way is to go to the start menu and right click on the appropriate program - then select as administrator.
You might need to use the 'hidden' administrator account on your computer. See here:

Well! It seems the problem I was having running a newly downloaded program was the result of my Kaspersky blocking it for some reason, which I don't understand!
I removed the restrictions being imposed on the program and it 'fired-up' instantly,result=happy bunny.
