I was watching an old episode of First Dates where one of the male daters was a cross-dresser who turned up in a wig, dress and high heels…

So ladies … if you went on a blind date and your man turned up in a wig, dress and high heels would you continue the date – or would you beat a hasty retreat?

Me? I'd be off home - pronto!

You wouldn't attend your mother's funeral wearing a bikini, would you?

Yes, some of you would.
Not in my mother's church......never have the heating on.
This is sort of the reverse, but I was recently sitting in a bar in Charleston one evening and this very attractive female sat next to me and said, in that honey-dripping Southern accent: "Y'all mind if I join you for a spell?" (Yes, she really did say "y'all.). Anyway, it was quickly obvious that "she" was a guy. Turns out we sat talking for about two hours mainly about his job as a tour-guide at Fort Sumter and had some interesting stories to tell about his job. It seems that one of his most FAQs was from British tourists asking if the body of water outside the harbour was the Atlantic or the Pacific. A very interesting "date".
I mean to an extent I agree with you v-e, and whilst I think it's important to be open with someone about who you are I also think it would be better establishing such things before you even met.
This is first dates, I assume the fill in extensive forms to what they find acceptable.
*they
I would see the date out so I didnt hurt the other person.

Would probobly enjoy hearing all about them!!

NOT compatible with me romantically but mabye as friends who knows!! X
The guy in First Dates actually looked like a really nice bloke. Don’t think I got to hear as to why he liked wearing dresses but it made me laugh (sorry) to see him in a dress and high heels necking a pint of lager!
I have a friend who likes dressing as a woman, but I honestly prefer him dressed as a man and I feel uncomfortable around him when he 'dresses'. I don't show this though as he is a good, kind man who will do anything for you.
Experience has taught me that sometimes a provocative or challenging exterior can hide a perfectly nice person who may have lots of qualities I would value. Of course I would go on the date, and see if I liked the person enough to go further. Dont forget they might not find you attractive either.
