Hi, am having a new boiler as the other one is on its last legs. My question is.... The installers want to connect the boiler to the Internet so that they can tell me if there's a problem. My opinion is that if there was something wrong I would know it because the thing would not work. I just want a new boiler with no fiddly bits. What do you folks think?

Trying to work/understand the 'onboard' screen is an art in itself....
I'd do the same as you, the less complicated something the more likely it is to work!
Just tell them you don't have the internet - thats what we did for my MIL

I have spoken to my son, and the gas engineer, and am advised that I do not need the fiddly bits. It does not affect my guarantee apparently. So hoping all goes well. It's being done in two weeks. Thanks for your replies x

Forgot to mention, It's a bit cheaper also. Don't know how much yet! I didn't do this to save money though. Just didn't want any hassle
