this book seems to be only available in the original version, written by Ambrose Bierce. Does anybody know of a modern version/s?

Yes, I have it on my shelf. I don't know if anyone has updated it but I doubt it.
Back in the day on Countdown, whenever Philip Franks was in Dictionary Corner he would always quote from The Devil's Dictionary and highly entertaining it was.
