US gov has banned google from supporting Huawei IT - due alleged spying claims.

As US gov has control of their IT companies they can scupper the www to any country that depends on US technology.

Is wew technology in danger?

Google’s been known to do its own spying. The USA doesn’t like competition.

What is in danger is Huawei.
The fear, justified or otherwise, is that this company can install spyware on its devices.
As far as technology is concerned, much so called Chinese innovation is actually technology pinched from other sources - which they openly boast about,
So the www is not going to collapse because of this.

I very much doubt that Huawei is doing any more than Samsung etc is. The downside is currently my phone won't get the android update later this year....in fact this is likely to have a big impact on the Huawei phone market outside of China.
