I have never used before, and am wanting to use for a trip into the West End of London, both to travel there and back again, has anyone used them and if so, if you are the person who has the uber app and you are the one that books the service, are you the person that pays or could anyone who is travelling with you pay the fare

My understanding is that the fare is charged to he person with the app and no money actually changes hands.

The only time that I've used them, the person that booked the journey was charged via their registered credit card, then I refunded them in cash (and paid the tip directly to the driver).
