Many years ago, living in a services community abroad pre satellites, tv programmes were flown in which meant Match of the Day was on Monday night! A friend was determined not to find the result of the Cup Final before then and, despite a lot of teasing, he managed it. He sat down, beer in hand, to watch and the opening titles were the winning captain holding up the trophy!
