I always watch because I like history but I wish they would not invent things just for the sake of making a drama more interesting.
Princess Feodora never lived in Buckingham Palace or even in London, and the Duke and Duchess of Monmouth are fictitious, Charles Francatelli was not married to Nancy Skerrett she is fictitious also.
I could probably go on with a lot more details like that.
I absolutely agree folly, I still enjoy the series but this third one is making these things up which is irritating - especially the current story line that Albert has lost interest in her. I don't know why they do it, surely there was enough really going on in their lives. I suppose the good point is I've researched their lives because of the series and also discovered all the untruths as above.
"nothing on the other side anyway"....sounds like a comment from 60 years ago.
I read that Skerret, her name was not Nancy, something else, I forget now and she was maid to Victoria until she retired, did not die of Cholera at all, I love the programme as love history too but also I look stuff up after to see if it is true or not.
I watch a recording of it. I watch it because I think Jenna Coleman is gorgeous and I like the dresses. Very little of it has been true so far.

gingejbee, my comment about nothing on the other side was referring to all the hype about 'line of duty!
