Why should hygiene be compromised for a minority, if you can’t abide by them then do something else, the rules are there for a reason.

I think that it usual, webbo. If you have a career, you have to follow guidelines whether you like them or not. Nobody is being "bullied", the rules have to be the same for everyone.

Naomi, exactly.Doesn't appear to be a problem in that operating theatre.
NAOMI, I'm not brave, it's based upon the lack of conclusive evidence.
'Brave'. I should cocoa. He's aving his next operation in the toilets.
No, Danny. Neither is having your head chopped off in Saudi Arabia.
It is here.
SR, What has that got to do with the anything on this thread?
What it has to do, is just because they do things differently in other countries, for religious reasons, we don't have to copy them.
I know you can't see anything wrong, bacteria are really small.
We are not copying anyone.Any chance that any future posts will be in reference to this OP.?
What is it with the Defenders of Islam? You seem to lose the faculty to think.
Whereas SPICERACK's argument is based on the evidence?
Corby, haven't you noticed that bigots rarely need evidence to spout their opinions.
Ah but all they need is what they and/or their neighbours/relatives/best friend/some bloke down the pub "know" to be true.
It's what we used to call common sense, boys.
We've got Dr Corby saying there's no conclusive evidence that bacteria could harm you during an operation, so he'll take a chance.
And Professor Danny pointing to a picture of Muslim doctors performing an operation in a Muslim country and saying it 'appears' to be safe. We should do it.
SR, from the link referring to the 'bare arm policy'
// However, the document itself states that there is no conclusive evidence that uniforms or other work clothes pose a significant hazard in terms of spreading infection.//
THECORBYLOON, Evidence? Are you serious? What evidence do you want? Evidence that sick people are succumbing to more hospital acquired infections? Have you ever seen the serous results of hospital acquired infections? We’ve known for a very long time that good hygiene in hospitals is vital – that is nothing new. The simple fact is that clothing carries bacteria and covered arms cannot be scrubbed. That’s why arms are required to be bare. Nothing, absolutely nothing – not even religious foibles – or the thoughtless supporters of those who claim special dispensation - should be allowed to compromise patient safety.

danny, read that^.
Has anyone pointed out that, as it says in the OP, it isn't 'careers' they claim to be abandoning, it is career dreams possibly along with career dreams of being a Hollywood movie star.
