Hello. What a miserable day this has turned out to be. The temperature has dropped a lot! And this has led to SWMBO putting me backing the LJs (Andy Pandys) which I thought I'd escaped from. I know the common sense argument (she tells me it so often) but there are other things in life.
Back to serious work tomorrow. I have been trying to do some work over the holidays more to encourage His Nibs than for myself. He has serious exams coming up while mine are low key. Of course, I want him to do well but... It means he'll be going North for long periods. How will I cope?
But to the crossie. I nearly finished it but found it quite hard as there were a number of answers that I struggled with (Zsa Zsa being one, Orimulsion another. ) and one clue has me baffled.
37ac Spy's outside tracking account in French, very theatrical.
I have ?c?r?s?y and I can't even think of a word that fits, let alone any logic to find a way forward. There are a couple more where I'm not sure why but I'll let them go for the minute.
As ever, I'd be grateful for guidance.

Thank you both very much. As ever, easy when you explain. I didn't even know there was a word `'actressy" but I just looked it up in the OED and, yes, it's there. But what an odd word..Does anyone actually use it?
How's the weather where you are? Has Storm Hannah hit you? It's just miserable here. No doubt the marathon runners liked it. though.

You're welcome, Steven. I don't find 'actressy' too odd a word … but I don't think I've ever used it myself! The weather's lovely here - in central Scotland. Storm Hannah ignored us!
Steven if you used a dictionary search site (I use one look) and put in the letter pattern using ? For unknown letters and, obviously the known letters, it will give you possible words. Sometimes it is easier to work out the clue when you have the answer. Well I find it so.
Today's not so bad where I am, sunny, cloudy windy quite cool. Yesterday was gale force winds, lashings of rain and very cold.

Lucky you NAC! Not only is the weather miserable her but we are for a few hours trapped in the area. The Marathon starts in the road we nickname the Top Road and then after they've run a few miles they come in the opposite direction along the Bottom Road. We are not allowed to drive (or be driven) while all this is happening. Still. a lot of people get a lot of pleasure and many charities benefit. Stop moaning, boy!

Thanks for the advice, Cashier. I tied that but it didn't help me on this occasion. Don't know why.
You weather seems similar to ours. Yesterday was awful. Hence, SWMBO having me back in the LJs!
