For years Men had to wait until they were 65 before being able to retire and to receive their pension, but women could retire at 60 and still receive their pension.

Where was the equality in that? Now it seems that equality for men is to eventually take place, and yet some women are asking for compensation.

Perhaps it should be the men who should receive compensation?

Perhaps those men who had to serve their King/Queen and country should now sue the government for loss of earnings?
Women went to work thinking they would retire at 60 and planned their retirement accordingly.

And so have some men, only to find they will have to work till they are 67, between 2026 and 2028.
Would the men not have planned to retire at sixty-five rather than sixty?

The idiocy of treating folk differently if they are considered two singles when another pair who have gone through the ritual of marriage are considered one couple. This nonsense should have been thrown out years ago.
I hoped to retire at 55, but when I got there it seemed financially unwise.
(Well, to be honest, had I won the lottery/pools at 25 I'd likely have gone then.)
