Anybody else having problems with F/F lately?
At the mo when I try to watch videos on you tube some work and some don't. It's about half and half right now. Also today it wont let me into facebook. It comes up with: Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue. I've tried another browser and all is ok. I've uninstalled F/F and re-installed it but all to no avail.

Scroll down to 'How to Delete HSTS Settings in Firefox' and see if the instructions there will help you:

Thanks Buenchico. That link took me to the same 'Did Not Connect: Potential Security Issue' so I opened my Pale Moon browser and followed the instructions from there. All seems to be ok now. I'll keep an eye on it.
Question Author
Well all seems to be working ok now....except.
My homepage has gone back to those tiles. I much preferred the old homepage. Is there any way of going back to that?
Since I don't know what your old home page looked like, that's a bit tricky to answer ;-)

To choose a particular website as your home page, first go to that site. Then click on the three lines (top right), followed by 'Options' and 'Home'. Then click 'Use Current Page'.

If you want something else to appear there please explain.
Question Author
It was just the FireFox page with the search bar in the centre. No frills no tiles. I wish I knew how to show an image! If this link works it's the first image.

Three lines > Options > Home

Set 'Homepage and New Windows' to 'Firefox Home (Default)'.

Under 'Firefox Home Content' remove all the ticks except for the one next to 'Web Search'.
PS: To show an image from the web, right-click on it, select 'Copy image location' and paste the link here. e.g.
https://prod-cdn.sumo.mozilla.net/uploads/gallery/images/2014-06-20-10-38-11-106a6c.png

To show an image from your computer, upload it to
http://upl.co/
Then copy and paste the first link here. e.g.

Sorry Buenchico but I don't follow that. I do the three lines>options. In the options I see the 'Home Page' section but I don't see a 'Homepage and New Windows' section! I'm also not seeing a 'Firefox Home Content' section.
Here's what I see:
http://www.upl.co/uploads/FirefoxHome1555435527.jpg

To change my home page to the one you want I'd have to change 'Custom URLs' to 'Firefox Home (Default)' and then remove all of the ticks except for 'Web Search'.
Question Author
Ah that's where we differ. Under 'General' you have 'Home', I don't have that.
Weird!

Try refreshing Firefox:

Three lines > Help > Troubleshooting Information > Refresh Firefox

I`ve used Firefox and a useful range of addons for many years and never had any issues. Are you on version 66.0.3.
Evening !
Used FF for a long time but switched to Chrome and find it much better - seems faster to load pages. Just saying !

I had already refreshed firefox Buenchico but I did it again. No joy.
CrapAtCryptics, this may (or may not) be significant, I'm on version 60.6.1 which is it says the 'esr update channel'.!! I don't know if that happened when I updated or what!
fbg40, I may well follow you to Chrome. I'm getting fed up with f/f.

Question Author
Solved!
Thanks to those who replied. I changed it from the esr update channel, which I have no idea what that is, and then followed Buenchicos instructions. All ok now.
I'm pleased to read that you got there in the end.
