Why pooh? Well it's a word all kids can say aint it ;)

Pooh is the last name of the bear. - pooh bear

He lived at "The House at Pooh Corner"

He was a Pooh bear, and always has been down the ancestor line.

He's the only bear on pooh corner.
His first name was named after a Canadian black bear called "Winnie"
Those pesky bees though getting on with their job. Eeyore and piglet were good characters... and even I can't forget the Bouncy, Bouncy one.
The owl reminds me of danny
...and of course ,we all know an Eeyore

The owl reminds me of danny.. he-he. both clips are awesome.
;P
Winnie the Pooh lived under the name of Sanders.

As for any connection between his nickname (Pooh) and the infantile ‘poo’ or worse, the Americanism ‘Poop’, neither occurred to me when I delighted in the books aged about seven.

I am sure A A Milne would shudder to hear grown-ups (alleged grown-ups) talking about ‘poo’ these days.
